HEConnect offers the Anténor Firmin Full Tuition Scholarship to honor the legacy of Anténor Firmin, a Haitian intellectual and one of the first to defend the equality of the Black race through his pioneering work, De l'égalité des Races Humaines. Firmin’s advocacy for racial equality and his intellectual contributions laid the groundwork for modern discussions on race, identity, and global justice. This scholarship supports students who are dedicated to advancing the study of race, human rights, and social justice. It aims to empower individuals committed to continuing Firmin’s work in challenging racial inequality, promoting African heritage, and exploring the contributions of Black people to global history. By supporting these students, HEConnect fosters the next generation of leaders who will work to uphold Firmin’s values of equality, unity, and human dignity.
